Character History[]
Donald Doyle is the father of Meghan, the new Regional Director of NTAC. When Meghan returned from university during a Christmas holiday, Meghan was disturbed by seeing her father weaker than usual, and suffering from random aches and spasms. Donald went to his doctor, and was informed he had Huntington's Disease, which would steadily destroy his immune system until it killed him. As time went on, he was increasingly prone to a variety of illnesses due to his weakening immune system, and eventually had several bouts of pneumonia, which nearly killed him.
Ultimately, he had another, more serious, bout of pneumonia that left him on his death-bed. Meghan came to his side during the ordeal, and was informed by his doctor that the staff doubted he would recover and Donald would suffer the inevitable. Desperate to save her father, Meghan broke a strict rule for all NTAC personnel; never use a 4400 ability for personal gain, which involved Shawn Farrell using his healing powers to restore her father to full health. The plan succeeded and Donald was cured of the disease and his immune system was restored to full strength, meanwhile Meghan managed to keep her job and, after seeing her father's life saved by a 4400, something the government considered a threat, began having doubts on whether the government was right to oppose Jordan Collier.
Shortly afterward, Donald had grown strong enough to use the phone, where he called Meghan at work to inform her he was doing well, leaving her happy.
