Character History[]
Fear Itself[]
Brandon's father Ryan Powell gave him a promicin shot in the hope that it would cure him of his autism. Instead it caused Brandon to trigger powerful phobic episodes in those near him when he became upset, causing them to experience lifelike hallucinations of their greatest fears. Ryan tried to explain his reasoning to his wife Jessica, but she became enraged due to the fact that the promocin shot carries a 50% chance of death. She then took Brandon and left. In a fit of anxiety he causes his mother to have a phobic attack and crash their car. Brandon then wanders the street, inflicting his ability on strangers.
Tom and Diana eventually track Brandon down and bring him back to NTAC where Shawn Farrell cures the boy of his autism. After Brandon is cured all the people effected by his ability make a full recovery and NTAC allows Brandon to live with his mother as long as he stays on the promicin inhibitor. Ryan is placed under arrest for injecting his son.
